Walking the land

Our work entails walking the land and is part of our investigation, learning to understand the landscape in all its many may guises.  This poem came to Mike on one of his walks and with the rhythm of his walking.  We all will understand in Covid times, at least all those who have had access to nature, how releasing from our lockdown prisons can be in our own local landscapes. Perhaps many of us have also had spiritual insights and inspirations too.

Let go and walk the land

Let go and walk the land
Release your raging mind
Feel the energies that grew our kind
Hold not your energy in
Allow vibrations’ ring
Let go and stride the land

Let go and walk the land
Breathe the sounds of life
Survey Earth’s contoured form
Touch celestial bodies pull
And waters ripple
Let go and heal the mind

Let go and walk the land
We are just one piece
Connection, love and balance
Thoughts gently come to mind
Expand, compassion rise
Let go and love all kind

Let go and walk the land
Allow your waves come and go
Hoard not control and power
Cross borders as they come
Break barriers, be strong
Flow flow your river grow
Let go with joy and song

Let go and walk the land
Be who you really are
Tie not to social binds
Your river course to follow
a kindly conduit, sublime
Let go, create, no sorrow

Let go and walk the land
Bathe in all creation
Pure essence, vibration with intention
Be flow and ebb of tidal life
Neither taker nor conscious giver be
But a being of flowing generosity
Let go and be
The love you are to me
