Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from Earthwaves!

Inevitably things have been quiet blog-wise over the festive season, but behind the scenes Mike and Lance have been busy brewing new and exciting ideas for future projects.

With the success of the trio of inaugural collaborative projects at PEAC’s “Anthropocene: Of Our Own Making” last year at the Panacea Museum in Bedford, we have been inspired to further our investigations into environmental matters. Mike has been back in the workshop experimenting with potential ceramic creations for the next planned project while Lance has been recording and collating natural and created sounds to provide the sonic backdrop for the work.

Additionally we have been scouring vintage, junk and charity shops for objects as diverse as broken glasses, shoes, keys… and even old scary dolls. Intrigued? All will become clear as the project solidifies.

Beyond that, the list of potential ideas to bring to fruition continues to grow. Any idea that we have, however bizarre or seemingly impossible, makes the list. We both are strongly of the opinion that an idea should never be discarded as you never know when it may prove do-able or useful in another capacity at some point, or even provide a tangental starting point for another project idea.

Exciting times lie ahead and will be updated on the site regularly.

Til then, may we wish all a happy and prosperous 2019!
