Creating Plastic Pisces 1 had cemented our partnership creativity with a hot glue gun. Inevitably it had been fun making together….. promising so much more to come.
The plastic sea from Plastic Pisces 1 was made from plastic sheets found in the studio with waste carrier bags and similar international detritus. It was formed on a plaster sea sculpted by Mike so somehow more mileage was bound to come from that idea. Add Mike’s exploration into bone china and more work is spawned about global warming and Anthropocene.
Ideas emerge that takes Anthropocene work further, calcium from sea shells (bone china), a dead sea caught in mid flow, and modern fossils……so another piece of sea is in the making……..
